Lunch & Learn

What's Better than Peanut Butter & Jelly?

We took two awesome things - eating lunch & learning -  and combined them into one even awesomer1 combo that we creatively named....[drum roll]..... 'Lunch & Learn' and we would venture to say that it's an even better combo than peanut butter and jelly.  Keep reading to find out more.

So, what's this Lunch & Learn combo actually like?

A typical Lunch & Learn session consists of a 15-minute faculty presentation followed by 15 minutes of casual discussion inspired by the presentation.

At each session we also hold a drawing and one lucky winner will take home a wireless presenter.

Lunch & Learn FAQ's

  • Will attending Lunch & Learn make me more respected by my peers, and just cooler in general?
    • Yes, absolutely!  Some of the most respected names in the industry are Lunch & Learn attendees.
  • When is it?
    • It's at lunch time of course! Okay, now the serious answer: it is from 12:15 to 12:45 every Tuesday during weeks 2-9 of each term.
  • Where do I find this intriguing Lunch & Learn?
    • We always meet in ESB15 - we find the venue to be spacious and very casual.
  • Is there a secret knock or handshake that I will need to get in?
    • No, not at this time.  We are looking into converting the Lunch & Learn into a secret society, but haven't been able to come up with enough money for the application fee.
  • Since Lunch & Learn is better than peanut butter and jelly, will it make my PB&J not taste as good if I eat it at the Lunch & Learn?
    • You would think so, but we've actually found that they taste even better at the Lunch & Learn.  We think it might have something to do with quantum entanglement.

We are looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday!

1 - Awesomer is not a real word, but it sounds really dramatic so we used it anyway.
