Placement Tests

UCC requires placement testing for most new certificate- or degree-seeking students. This includes students taking credit classes for personal enrichment. Without placement test scores or previous college credit, it is difficult to estimate your potential for success in classes that require a minimum level of reading, writing or math skills. You can’t fail a placement test, but it pays to prepare in advance and do your best.

If you're worried about taking these tests – don't be! The information is only used to help us find out which classes will be right for you.
