Journey from planet to planet all right on the UCC campus!
A scale model of the solar system aligned for May 16 will be placed on the UCC campus for students to experience its size and planetary layout. Students can walk from the Sun to Neptune in one kilometer, with local astronomers sharing fun facts and data for each planet. All participants will get a "Solar System Passport" with a map and info about each planet. A second solar system with the eight planets of the Kepler 90 star will be placed at the same scale for comparison.
Plus, join us for solar observing 12 - 1 p.m. at the Paul Morgan Observatory - also on the UCC campus.
Admission is FREE. Pre-registration is highly recommended.
