All of our instructors are certified in their field and are well qualified to help you reach your training goal. Whether you need your Boater Education Card or your Healthcare Provider Card, your driver's license or your certification; we have a class to meet your needs.
UCC Community Education offers a variety of Driver Education courses for those learning to drive, those who want to brush up on skills, or for those who need training for work.
Driver Permit Test Preparation
Having trouble passing the permit test, or need help studying? This course covers the Oregon Driver Manual and what you need to know to pass the Oregon Driver permit test. For more information, please call 541-440-4668
High School Driver Education
These ODOT-certified classes include 30 hours of classroom instruction and 12 hours in the car. You must be under 18 and have your Oregon learners permit before class begins. Driver Permit Test Preparation courses are also available.

Adult Driver Education (over 18)
This class is for adults 18 and over or anyone with a driver's license.
The class includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours in the car. You must have your Oregon permit or valid driver's license before class begins.

Adult Driving (per hour)
This class is for adults 18 and over or anyone with a driver's license. We move at a pace comfortable for you and we use our UCC driver training cars.
Rate is $60 per hour. Please call 541-440-4668 to register for this class.
Low Vision Bioptic Driver
This training program is designed for anyone issued a special, limited vision conditional learner's permit and who has been prescribed special bioptic lenses.
The course includes at least six hours of observation and 15 hours of driving time. Please call 541-440-4668 to register for this class.
Commercial Truck Driving School (CDL)
UCC provides quality training to become an entry-level Commercial truck driver in just four weeks.
A refresher course is also available.
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS/ACLS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association, and any fees charged for such a course do not represent income to the Association. Classes with low enrollment are subject to cancellation.
First Aid/CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers, Adults, Children and Infants
UCC is a Community Training Center for the American Heart Association. Thousands of community members, medical and emergency professionals, and employees are trained in First Aid, CPR, Healthcare Provider, ACLS, and Instructor Certification. A variety of classes are offered each term. Classes required for work (BLS) can be arranged by taking an online classroom session and arranging a skills session. This course provides practical and relevant instruction from a trained boating safety instructor. If you pass the course, you can apply for your boater education card, as required by Oregon's mandatory Boater Education Program. Since 2009, all operators of powerboats are required to carry the boater education card for motors with 10 horsepower and up.
Certified Flagger Training
UCC's Community Education Department offers the 6-hour Certified Flagger Training course to prepare you to provide work zone traffic control. Successful students receive ODOT Credential for Flaggers, which is valid for three years in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. * On a temporary basis, the certified flagger course will be offered in an online format. Forklift and Fire Extinguisher Training

Handgun Safety and Self Defense
Gain knowledge and proficiency to properly use and care for handguns from a nationally certified instructor. Upon completion, participants will be eligible to apply for a Concealed Weapon Permit. Saturday class includes hands-on practice of safety and marksmanship utilizing series of targets.
