The 2018 Legacy Ball was a tremendous success!!!

More than 450 guests enjoyed an evening of food, entertainment, and dancing. Thanks to generous sponsors and community members, the event raised over $167,000 that will go toward UCC student support.

The evening’s special appeal raised $46,000 toward a $75,000 goal to purchase a new tractor for UCC’s Truck Driving Program. With the dire need for truck drivers in Oregon and the nation, UCC’s program needs a tractor equipped with the gears, safety features, and current technology that students will be expected to use in the workforce.

During the event, student and scholarship recipient, Joyce Blair, shared how receiving scholarships impacted her ability to return to school to pursue her dream.

“The Foundation has helped me by opening up so many opportunities for my future that are ultimately going to better my children’s future,” Blair said. “If the scholarship department didn’t exist, I would not be here. I cannot financially afford to better educate myself or my children without the help of others.”

It is only with the support of an amazing community of donors, sponsors and participants that UCC Foundation is able to help transform lives and enrich communities. We are so grateful for the generousity and kindness that is on display each year during this unique fundraiser and look forward to seeing everyone at the 2019 Legacy Ball!
