Curriculum Committee

The Curriculum Committee's task is to review curriculum documents to ensure they are filled out correctly and completely, contained the required information, and are ready to move on to Instructional Council (IC) for review and/or approval. Curriculum Committee will review items such as the CIP's code, hours, lecture/lab, outcomes, and prerequisites.

Please select the appropriate procedure from the options shown below. Each section will contain the forms required for the selected task. Submissions will be reviewed by committee members who will work individually with submitters to address any missing components or required revisions prior to the meeting. If you have any questions, please contact any member of the Curriculum Committee.

Meetings

Curriculum Committee meetings are scheduled two weeks prior to each Instructional Council meeting. Meeting times are 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.  Please plan to attend the meeting where your item will be reviewed.  

In most cases, submission deadlines for agenda items will be one week prior to the meeting date in order to allow time for review of documents and preparation of the agenda. The submission deadline for January's meeting will be the final Tuesday prior to Winter Break. Meeting dates and submission deadlines are shown below.

Forms

All forms should be submitted using the following naming convention: Course #_Form name_Date
Example: ART 205_Program Revision_12.2.16

New Course or Program Concept Process

  • All new program or course concepts must be submitted to Instructional Council for review and approval before they are fully developed and reviewed by Curriculum Committee.  

Concept forms should be submitted through the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  email account no later than one week prior to the Instructional Council meeting you wish to present at.

  • Submitters must be present at Instructional Council to present their ideas.
  • Please contact any member of Curriculum Committee if you have questions or concerns.

Program Change 

Course Change

  • All new course ideas need to be submitted to and approved by Instructional Council before being reviewed by Curriculum Committee.  See New Course or Program Concept Process above.
