Small Teaching: Lessons for Faculty from the Science of Learning
Simple Assessment Support
While exploring the National Education Association (NEA) website, I came across this paper by James Lang, author of Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons from the Science of Learning (2016).
In the paper, Lang summarizes some of the strategies shared in his book and explains how you can incorporate small teaching strategies throughout the different sections of the class period in order to help increase student learning in your courses.
I encourage you to take a few minutes to read through Lang's paper for a quick overview and then, if you are in the mood for more, swing by the UCC library and check out the full book!
