High school students can choose from hands-on college credit programs to take at UCC on Fridays. You can learn a new skill, earn college credits, and get on track early to start a career – all before graduating high school.

Art
Explore concepts, develop skills, and begin to develop authentic artistic styles while learning how to create college-level art.
Automotive
Work on engines and equipment in the shop, along with learning in the classroom, to earn industry certification in Precision Measurement and Torque.
Entrepreneurship
Develop a business plan and learn how to pitch it to possible investors in this two-course series.
Fire Science
Learn fire behavior, practice search and rescue, how to handle emergencies involving hazardous materials, and understand the basics of rescue.
Forestry
Forestry, Surveying I, and Introduction to Geographic Information blends classroom learning with off-campus field trips for hands-on experiences.
Mechatronics
At the intersection of mechanics, electronics, and computing, mechatronics specialists create simpler and smarter processes. Learn to incorporate robotics, control systems, and electro-mechanical systems to be a part of the growing automation and manufacturing industry.
Nursing Assistant
The classes, labs, and clinical experiences will teach the skills needed for the Nursing Assistant Competency Evaluation test and get you into the workforce. Must turn 18 by June 2025.
Intro to Robotics
Explore how to program a robot with high-level programming languages and learn how to problem-solve operation issues.
Already connected to your counselor? Here’s how to apply and enroll
- Before applying, you must be approved by your high school counselor or staff member. They complete an online authorization form.
- Complete the application (mark dual credit).
- Access the student email account and set the password. This same password will be used to access Self-Service Banner (student account system).
- Work with the Office of Early College to get the correct CRN.
- Register with the CRN online through Self-Service Banner, with a “Registration and Schedule Change Form”, or utilizing the student email.
