Services Offered


UCC counseling services offers short term and crisis counseling for currently enrolled students. We can assist with common student and personal concerns including:

  • Counseling Services (personal, crisis, 10/1 related)                                    Hot Air Balloon
  • Career exploration, planning and counseling
  • Test Anxiety or other Anxiety issues
  • Referrals to campus and community resources 
  • Weekly Wellness Workshops

Recovery/Specialty Academic Advising 

Academic advising and assistance with completing financial aid and academic appeals.

Specifically for:

  • Students impacted by 10/1
  • Veterans
  • Students receiving accommodations  
  • Academic and Financial Aid Appeals
  • Wrap around advising

Wellness Workshops

Every week we offer wellness workshops that cover a variety of topics. These topics were chosen because they are common concerns that many college students face. Workshop topics include:                                  

  • BalanceDiscovering community resources
  • Balancing college life
  • Substance abuse and co-dependency
  • Time management
  • Asutism Spectrum Disorder
  • Depression & suicide awareness
  • Stress management    
  • Managing anxiety
  • Selecting a major                          

Drop into our weekly, 50 minute wellness workshops on  Wednesday's at 12:00 PM or Thursday's at 2:00 PM

 Support Groups


This group provides a place for students who are dealing with grief and loss to gather, provide support for each other and learn coping skills and strategies.
Group is held twice per month on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 12:00 in ESB 9


Are you the caregiver for someone in your family, maybe a child with special needs or a parent who is aging or ill?
Group is held once per month on the 1st Monday of each Month at 12:00 in ESB 9


Group is held once per month on the 3rd Monday of each month at 12:00 in ESB 9


This group is available to students who have experienced trauma in their lives and are now dealing with the symptoms associated with this trauma. Are you experiencing nightmares or reoccurring thoughts about this trauma? Are you highly alert and anxious even when there doesn’t seem to be a reason for it?
Groups is held twice per month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 12:00 in ESB 9
