Apply for Financial Aid
To apply for grants, loans, work-study, and some scholarships, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The school code for UCC is 003222.
IMPORTANT: The FAFSA should be completed as soon as October 1st for the upcoming academic year at Umpqua Community College (UCC) each year.
EXAMPLE. If you are planning to start college at UCC in the summer or fall of 2020, you should fill out the FAFSA in October of 2019.
After you finish the FAFSA, we recommend searching and applying for scholarships.
Priority Deadline
UCC's priority deadlines for submitting the FAFSA are listed on our Financial Aid Calendar.
This means you should complete the admissions process and submit the FAFSA, with UCC's School Code 003222, no later than the deadline for each term listed on the calendar.
Some types of funding are limited, so we recommend submitting your FAFSA on or soon after October 1. If you submit the FAFSA after the deadlines found on the Financial Aid Calendar, you will still be eligible for aid but will not be considered for some funds.
After You Apply
After you successfully complete the FAFSA, the Financial Aid Office will send you a notifications to the email address you provided on your FAFSA that your application has been received. The notification will provide you with your next steps.
Verification
What is it?
It's a process to confirm the accuracy of data provided by the applicant on the FAFSA. In order to complete the verification process, students are required to provide certain documents to UCC for review. If the documentation the student provides do not match what was reported on the FAFSA, verification can result in changes to the student's financial aid package.
