Volleyball Head Coach

Prior to becoming a RiverHawk, Werner was a head coach at Pocatello Elite for 8 years as-well-as the club’s director.

Under the tutelage and partnership of Pocatello Elite Owner Tawna Ellis, Chris experienced many successes at the national club level including trips to the Jr. Olympic National Championships, numerous club players receiving collegiate scholarships, and opportunities to train student athletes with Division I coaches.

Chris also has experience in the high school ranks as an assistant for Century High School, under then head coach Tawna Ellis, where he helped the team to a 3rd place finish at the State Championships.

Chris comes to Umpqua having graduated with a Master's in Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University and Idaho State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics.
