GED graduation held June 12

On June 12, UCC celebrated students who  earned their GED or adult high school diploma.

The spring graduation is the largest of the academic year and brought a raucous crowd of family and supporters to celebrate. The ceremony started at 7 p.m. in the Danny Lang Teaching, Learning, and Event Center on UCC’s main campus.

Of the 46 graduates, 35 earned their GED. The remaining 11 earned adult high school diplomas. Three students, Sierra Meyer, Miranda Martin, and Mariah Wade,  graduated as members of the National Adult Education Honors Society. One student, William Hershey, received an Honors GED.

Two of the graduates, Madison Ramos and Mariah Wade, spoke at the ceremony. Commencement speaker was Sherri Chambers, center director at Wolf Creek Job Corps.

Congratulations, Class of 2014!
