UCC’s 50th commencement ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, June 13, at UCC's Swanson Amphitheatre.
Graduates are asked to meet at the gymnasium no later than 4 p.m. on June 13.
Caps and gowns can be picked up between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, June 10-11, in the Library, Room 12.
Spectators at commencement are reminded to keep the walkways clear for graduates. Seating is first come, first served. Handicapped seating is available.
Featured speaker at commencement will be Joel Gorthy, a 1995 graduate of UCC who earned recognition as an outstanding student in journalism and served as editor, reporter, columnist, and occasional cartoonist for The Mainstream student newspaper. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Oregon, where he also received two national writing awards for his work in Flux magazine. Gorthy currently oversees production of The Register-Guard’s many award-winning print publications, including the Tastings food-and-wine magazine.
