Free GED/ESL orientations in June

GED and ESL classes start in June.

Umpqua Community College will host open orientation sessions for adults wanting to work towards completing their GED or learning English this summer.

Orientations are free and required for all new students in the GED or English as a Second Language (ESL) programs. Register for any of the sessions by calling the Woolley Center at 541-440-4603. Registration is required.

 

Free GED Orientations

5 to 9 p.m. June 16-18

Free ESL Orientation

9 to 11 a.m. June 23

Adults unsure about earning a GED or taking ESL courses can attend the first hour of either orientation session to get an overview of the program and the classes involved. Those who complete the full orientation will set life and education goals, learn about program options, and take placement tests.

The next series of classes starts the week of June 23. Classes are offered in Roseburg and at several locations in Douglas County. For more information on GED or ESL classes, call the Woolley Center at 541-440-4603.
