Part-Time SPEECH COMMUNICATIONS INSTRUCTOR
Responsible to: Humanities Department Chair
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Meets each assigned class with punctuality, enthusiasm, and regular attendance;
Implements class activities that will promote maximum learning;
Covers the usual course content as described in the approved course outline, and provides sufficient exposure to the material so that students will satisfactorily proceed to the next course in sequence and/or courses in the program;
Conducts class during the time and in the room provided on the regular college schedule; any deviation from this should be approved by the dean;
Submits reports as requested, including class rosters, grade reports, grade books, text book requests, inventories, and final examinations;
Carries out college policies in all aspects that relate to the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Speech Communications or related field required
Teaching experience necessary (prefer experiences with adult learners)
Familiarity with technology as a teaching tool
SALARY: $492 per credit hour, Part-time 2009-10 Faculty Salary Schedule
