Campus Challenge
Let's create a proud tradition of employee participation in our workplace campaign. We are issuing a challenge to our staff: We are asking each employee to donate a minimum $1.00 per month to the campaign. If we reach 100% participation from staff, Joe & Lee have committed to dressing up as Sonny& Cher and performing for us. We believe that is well worth a total commitment of $12.00!
Save lives, save our pool!
The Land of Umpqua is famous for its water recreation. Fishing, rafting and swimming in our pristine rivers and lakes has been a favorite family pastime for generations. Visitors are drawn to this special place we call home to enjoy the abundant water recreation opportunities. While this makes our home a unique and beautiful place, it also poses hazards. Over the summer, six drowning deaths occurred in Douglas County.
UCC has been a primary provider of water safety training for many years. The need for major repairs forced pool closure this year, but we still have a responsibility to be vigilant in providing water safety classes for the community. The college and community are now building a plan for a new swimming pool. Advanced technologies will allow us to build a stainless steel pool with a low carbon footprint, and will serve our community for generations to come.
Bond Levy Campaign
The UCC Foundation must raise $250,000 to fund the campaign to promote a Bond Levy to build a Regional Allied Health and Science Building, an Industrial Arts and Technology Building, and a South County Training Center. Buildings vacated by those occupying the new buildings will be renovated for more classroom and office space. This is a momentous opportunity for all employees to support a bond levy that will server staff and students for generations.

Tax Brackets and Charitable Contributions
Tax brackets are based (after deductions and exemptions) on your taxable income. If you made a charitable contribution of $1,000 and you were in a 25% tax bracket, you would receive a savings of $250 on federal taxes you would otherwise pay.
