ASUCC Constitution

Article XIV—ASUCC Standing Committees

Section 1—Purpose

ASUCC Committees will investigate, report and propose actions to the ASUCC Student Leadership Team for a final vote.

Section 2—ASUCC Activities Committee

  1. The ASUCC Activities Committee shall be comprised of ASUCC Activities Officer, chair, non-voting member and three (3) additional ASUCC Student Leadership Team members or ASUCC members, voting members, as appointed by the ASUCC Activities Officer.
  2. It shall be the responsibility of the ASUCC Activities Committee to organize and manage ASUCC events.
  3. Meetings, quorum and voting will be defined in the ASUCC Bylaws.

Section 3—ASUCC Constitution and Bylaws Review Committee

  1. The ASUCC Constitution and Bylaws Review Committee shall be comprised ASUCC President, chair, non-voting member, three (3) additional ASUCC Student Leadership Team members, voting members, as appointed by the ASUCC President, and the ASUCC Advisor, advisory member, non-voting member.
  2. It shall be the responsibility of the ASUCC Constitution and Bylaws Review Committee to review and propose possible changes to the ASUCC Constitution and Bylaws. All proposals must be presented to the ASUCC Student Leadership Team for final approval.
  3. Meetings, quorum and voting will be defined in the ASUCC Bylaws.

Section 4—ASUCC Student Leadership Team Review Committee

  1. The ASUCC Student Leadership Team Review Committee shall be comprised of the UCC Vice President for Student Development or designee, chair, non-voting member and five (5) students-at-large, voting members, selected by the UCC Vice President for Student Development and confirmed by the ASUCC Advisor, who shall have little or no prior knowledge and no bias for or against the action or issue, as determined by the UCC Vice President for Student Development.
  2. It shall be the responsibility of the ASUCC Student Leadership Team Review Committee to review, upon request, and modify if necessary, any action taken against an ASUCC officer, senator or club representative.
  3. Meetings, quorum, voting and policies and procedures will be defined in the ASUCC Bylaws.

Section 5—ASUCC Elections Committee

  1. Membership: The ASUCC Elections Committee shall be comprised of the ASUCC Vice President or ASUCC Elections Chair, non-voting member. Should the ASUCC Vice President be a candidate for any ASUCC Executive Council position, an ASUCC Executive Council member not running for office will assume the position of ASUCC Elections Chair. The Elections Chair will appoint five (5) students, who may not be candidates for any ASUCC Executive Council position or be serving as campaign managers for a candidate.
  2. It shall be the responsibility of the ASUCC Elections Committee to make decisions on elections procedures, assist the ASUCC Vice President or ASUCC Elections Chair in running all regular and special elections.
