Daily Activities for Children at the Ford Childhood Enrichment Center

Infant and Toddler Schedule:

• Early Morning:
  • Greetings, information sharing, sign-in, wash hands
  • Self-selected activities, cuddling, and read books
  • Snack
  • Outdoor play
  • Diaper change and wash hands
  • Routine naps and feedings
• During the Day:
  • Teacher guided activities and self-selected activities
  • Diaper change and wash hands
  • Lunch at 12:00 p.m.
  • Outdoor play
• Late in Day:
  • Snack at 3:00 p.m.
  • Diaper change and wash hands
  • Self-selected activities, cuddling, and read books
  • Routine naps and feedings
  • Outdoor play
  • Parent and staff exchange information and good-byes

Preschool Schedule:

• Early Morning:
  • Free choice/Learning centers
  • Clean-up, story, wash hands
  • Snack
  • 1st group outside/Circle, activities inside
  • 2nd group outside/Circle, activities inside
• Mid-Morning:
  • Music, exercise, stories, films
  • Clean-up, wash-up, lunch
  • Outside/Cots out
  • Toilet, wash hands
  • Rest, quiet activities, naps
• Late in Day:
  • Outside or inside play, naps
  • Wake-up, wash-up
  • Free choice inside and/or outside, clean-up

Each child has their own schedule, which parents and staff discuss and adjust as the child grows and develops. FCEC staff will respond to the individual's needs, interests, and abilities during the day to ensure optimum physical care and developmentally appropriate activities.
