Program Description
A one year certificate program the purpose of which is to train students in the technical skills and knowledge of the construction industry. The graduate of this program can expect to work in the residential and commercial building construction field.
Completion of this program could lead to employment as one of the following:

Carpenter
Construction Laborer
Construction Grip
Construction Manager
Construction Inspector
Construction Millwright
Construction Worker
According to the Oregon Department of Labor, the projected growth rate in this industry is expected to exceed 35% over the next ten years. The average number of annual local region jobs openings is expected to exceed 150 positions.
Applicants interested in this program must meet the following prerequisites:
- Possess a valid Oregon drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
- Be capable of doing arduous physical work in various weather conditions.
- Be able to pass periodic drug screening tests.
