Communication Studies:

Public Relations Specialist Certificate

uccbannerThe Public Relations Specialist certificate, the most advanced of UCC’s three Communication Studies certificates, combines general education coursework with classes in communication competencies, graphic design, business, journalism, and public relations. Certificate students will also have opportunities for independent study and may be able to arrange internships for credit.

Students will practice working in a media production environment as well as a public relations environment and will develop an understanding of theories and concepts integral to mass communication, oral communication, and marketing. The Public Relations Specialist certificate helps prepare students for career opportunities such as Communication and Public Relation Specialists, Advertising and Promotion Agents, and Advertising Account Specialists.
