The study of music is the heart of a liberal arts education. The Fine and Performing Arts Department provides an ideal environment for such an education, with a diverse Music Studies curriculum that features creative courses in music theory, history, technology, and performance.
UCC offers an Associate of Arts degree with a music curriculum that is approved for transfer to schools in the Oregon University System and most liberal arts colleges. Music Studies at UCC provides a foundation for students wishing to pursue a professional career or simply improve their musical skills. Recent UCC graduates have found their vocation in music education, sacred music, music therapy, arts administration, music performance and production.
