Associate of Applied Science Degree Program


Photo of a EMT / Paramedic. Umpqua Community College offers an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Emergency Medical Technology. The EMT Basic certification is offered in a two term format known as EMT A and EMT B. An accelerated EMT Basic is also offered. Successful completion of either the two term or accelerated EMT Basic program qualifies the student to take the state certification examination. Admission to the EMT Basic A and B levels is open to the general student population. However the student must be 18 years of age to take the state certification examination.

PARAMEDIC PROGRAM: Admission to the Paramedic program requires the student to make a separate application through the Office of Admission and Records.
