UccLife email in Outlook 2007.

1. In Outlook 2007, click "Tools" then "Account Settings...".

   

2. Click the "New..." button, to set up a new email account.

   

3. Click "Next".

   

4. Make sure you check the check box next to "Manually configure server settings or additional server types".

   

5. Click "Next".

   

6. Click "Next".

   

7. 1. Fill in your name
   2. Your UCClife email address
   3. the account type is IMAP (select it from the drop down list, if it isn't already set)
   4. The incoming mail server is 172.18.11.26
   5. The outgoing mail server is 172.18.11.26
   6. Your user name and password will be the same that you use for UCCLife.
   7. Make sure you mark the "Remember Password" check box.
   8. You can run a "Test Account Settings" but it's important you understand that it will fail part of the test.
   
   

8. You can click "Stop" at this point of the test...

   

9. ...because the second half of the test will always fail. You cannot send email through UCC life in Outlook, you can only receive.

   

10. Click "More Settings".

    

11. Check the "Purge items when switching folders while online" checkbox.

    

12. Click "Next"..

    

13. Click "Finish"

    

14. Click "Close" and now you are done.
