How to create a helpdesk ticket.

  1. Open http://helpdesk.umpqua.edu/ in Internet Explorer. Login with your network login. firstname.lastname and the password you use for your computer.

  2. Click the "New Request" link on the left.

  3. This will take you to a blank Request form.

    Fill in the priority as appropriate.

    1. 1-Low, requests that may actually not be needed, kind of like a suggestion box.
    2. 2-Normal, this is the average ticket, it needs to be done, but can often wait until the next working day.
    3. 3-Medium, Needs to be done before the end of the day.
    4. 4-High, Emergency, this needs to be done now.
  4. Select a category as appropriate, you can leave this blank, if you don't know.

  5. Select a sub category as appropriate, you can also leave this blank, if you don't know.

  6. Select an item as appropriate, you can also leave this blank, if you don't know.

  7. Fill in the description field, try to be brief and descriptive.

  8. Describe your problem, again try to be brief and descriptive, but don't leave out any important details.

  9. Click the "Add Request" button. Help is on the way!
