Roseburg— Umpqua Community College will sponsor a workshop, “How to Start a Business & Find Your Niche,” on Wednesday, January 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the UCC Workforce Training Center, 2555 NE Diamond Lake Blvd., Roseburg. The cost is $18 and the instructor is Diane Mahoney. Pre-registration is required by January 8. Please call 440-7744 and ask for course number 32872 to register.
The workshop will focus on those interested in starting their own business, or for those new in business. Topics include: local business license and registration procedures, business plan preparation, funding options, forms of business, tax information, and more.
