Workshop to Prepare Students for State Contractor’s Licensing Test

Roseburg— A course on “Contractors License Training” will be held over five nights at UCC Workforce Training Center, 2555 NE Diamond Like Blvd., Roseburg. Class dates are January 16, January 17, January 22, January 24, and January 31. Class time is 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and cost is $345. The instructors are Jim Gamble, contractor; Randy Rubin, attorney; and Debbie Robertson, Certified Public Accountant. To register for this class, call 440-7744 and ask for sequence number 32876.

UCC Small Business Development Center is a state approved training center, offering a course to help individuals prepare for the state license testing. The course will introduce students to CCB information, building codes, test-taking strategies, Oregon lien and contract law, OSHA, BOLI, job site safety, employer requirements, employee rights, taxes, record keeping, business practices, project management, time management, estimating, scheduling, and environmental laws. The cost of the textbook and pre-exam CD is included in price of the class.
