Roseburg— Umpqua Community College is offering a workshop, ”Finding Your Writer’s Voice” on Saturday, January 12, from 9 a.m. to noon, at UCC Workforce Training Center, 2555 NE Diamond Like Blvd., Roseburg. The tuition is $3, class fee is $35. To register, call 440-7744 and ask for sequence number 32819.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a literary bone in your body. You have a voice! Come prepared to do lots of writing and discover how to make your writing unmistakably yours, the keys to getting your voice and personality on the page, and how to get back the unique voice you may have lost.

The instructor is BJ Bassett, a freelance writer, who has over 300 published credits as a feature writer for newspapers, as a book reviewer, and as a columnist. Registration is limited to 20 students. Register early.
