EBSCOHost Databases
Off-campus access to these EBSCOHost databases is available to users with a UCC Library card. Please ask at the circulation desk in the library for a complete list of database usernames and passwords.

Academic Search Premier
The world's largest academic multi-disciplinary database, Academic Search Premier provides full text for more than 4,700 scholarly publications, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed journals. Coverage spans virtually every area of academic study and offers information dating as far back as 1975.

Business Source Premier
As the world's largest full text business database, Business Source Premier provides full text for nearly 7,800 scholarly business journals, including full text for more than 1125 peer-reviewed business publications. Coverage includes virtually all subject areas related to business. This database provides full text (PDF) for more than 350 of the top scholarly journals dating as far back as 1922.

LexisNexis Academic-- News, Legal, and Business Collections
Access the full-text of newspapers, magazines, and newswires from both national and local sources, reaching back more than 20 years. Includes film reviews, commentaries and editorials, information from industry and business publications, as well as transcripts from T.V. and radio news programs. Not available off-campus.

The Oregonian (indexed through NewsBank)
Provides complete full-text access to articles and features in The Oregonian from 1988 to the present, excluding advertisements. Available off-campus; ask at the library for the username and password.

U.S. Small Business Administration
A great resource for information on starting a small business from the federal government. Also includes a link to the Small Business Administration office in Portland with specific information relating to Oregon.

Business.gov
The official guide to business and the U.S. Government. Includes links to the U.S. Small Business Association website, information on how to start, plan, manage, and exit a business. Also includes answers to commonly asked questions on topics from taxes to import/export concerns.

Oregon BizCenter
"The BizCenter website provides a wide range of business topics for every subject and industry. Start by clicking on your business’ stage of development. Or browse or search for a particular topic. ... Oregon SBDC BizCenter services are available to anyone who owns, operates, or is considering starting, a small business in Oregon. Funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Oregon Economic & Community Development Department."

State of Oregon Corporation Division

Information on starting a business in Oregon; laws and rules, forms, startup checklists, and other helpful support and resources.

Oregon Coporation Division-- Starting a Business
A consolidated source of information that provides a general checklist to guide one through the process of opening a business in Oregon, basic employer information, and business assistance programs that may be good resources for beginning and established business enterprises.

Oregon Economic and Community Development Department
Created to assist Oregon businesses and governments to create economic opportunities for both businesses and communities. This site has information on financial services, enterprise zones, economic data and a calendar of events of interest to business development, to name but a few of the topics.

Oregon Governor's Small Business Council
Their mission is to "improve the development, growth and vitality of Oregon's small business." This site contains several reports on small business in Oregon and links for small business resources dealing specifically with Oregon.

Internet Public Library: Entrepreneurship Resources
Directory of small business resources providing an annotated listing of sites on the web that provide news, information and both general and specific assistance to those in small business.

Small Business Development Center-National Information Clearinghouse
Excellent directory of resources and information covering all aspects of small business development. Also includes counseling information and links to government and private sources of information. This site was developed as a partnership between the Small Business Administration and the University of Texas at San Antonio and is frequently updated.

Women's Business Center
A website created by the Small Business Administration that promotes the growth of women-owned businesses through programs that address business training and technical assistance, and provide access to credit and capital, federal contracts, and international trade opportunities.

Business Week Online: Small Business
A website developed by Business Week magazine that covers current issues and information of interest to small business owners. A few of the topics covered are news, technology, finance, management and tools for small business operators.

Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Clearinghouse on Entrepreneurship Education
This database contains abstracts of materials on entrepreneurship education at all levels and links to organizations dealing with entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education.

ENTERWeb-Enterprise Development Website
"The knowledge portal for small business" is an annotated directory of websites indexed by subject. Information topics include entrepreneurship, small business, finance, international trade, and the economy for both developed and developing countries. Last update: Dec. 2006.

Online magazine that carries feature articles and news on different aspects of entrepreneurship as well as a a subject directory of resources and feature articles for small businesses.
