Music, Theater, Events

Music on the Half Shell 2007
A free-to-the-public concert series held in Stewart Park, Roseburg every Tuesday of the summer at 7pm. This year's lineup includes The Wailers, Pink Martini, and more.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival
Take in a play- Shakespearean or otherwise- at one of the best drama festivals in the country. Ashland, where the festival is located, also has wonderful options for shopping, dining, or just taking an evening stroll.

Britt Festival
This annual summer music celebration in Jacksonville (20 miles north of Ashland) attracts some big names. This year includes The Indigo Girls, Lyle Lovett & k.d lang, Los Lonely Boys, and more. Tickets are available for purchase by phone, mail, fax, or in-person (not online).

Oregon Country Fair
"For four days every summer, the Oregon Country Fair becomes the fourth-largest city in Oregon!" This year, the fair is July 13, 14, and 15 in Veneta, OR. Bring a costume, bring lots of water, and leave the dog at home (pets are not permitted at the fair).

Eugene Summer Events Guide (Eugene Weekly)
