Premier
The world's largest academic multi-disciplinary database, Academic Search
Premier provides full text for more than 4,700 scholarly publications,
including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed journals. Coverage spans
virtually every area of academic study and offers information dating as far
back as 1975.
Business
Source Premier
As the world's largest full text business database, Business Source Premier
provides full text for nearly 7,800 scholarly business journals, including full
text for more than 1125 peer-reviewed business publications. Coverage includes
virtually all subject areas related to business. This database provides full
text (PDF) for more than 350 of the top scholarly journals dating as far back
as 1922.

LexisNexis Academic-- News, Legal,
and Business Collections
Access the full-text of newspapers, magazines, and newswires from both national
and local sources, reaching back more than 20 years. Includes film reviews, commentaries
and editorials, information from industry and business publications, as well as
transcripts from T.V. and radio news programs. Not available off-campus.
The Oregonian (indexed through NewsBank)
Provides complete full-text access to articles and features in The Oregonian
from 1988 to the present, excluding advertisements. Available off-campus; ask
at the library for the username and password.

Order
The standard reference for organizing meetings and committees since 1876, Robert's
Rules of Order provides guidelines on how votes, discussions, notetaking,
and other activities should occur at formal meetings. Includes an index and a

Statistical Abstract
of the United States
A collection of the most commonly used and requested statistics about the
United States from the U.S. Census Bureau. The data is organized by chapter
into broad subject headings (i.e. Education, Industry, People) and a
comprehensive index in the back of the book allows one to find statistics on
many specific subjects. The index lists table numbers, not page numbers.

The state's official public-private website for site consultants and businesses

comprehensive database of available sites and buildings by city, county, type

Division of Finance and Corporate
Securities
State of Oregon agency that regulates and supervises
the financial institutions and securities industries doing business in the
state.
Oregon Insurance Division
They are responsible for protecting the public's interests by ensuring the
financial soundness of insurers, the availability and affordability of
insurance, and fair treatment of policyholders and claimants while maintaining
a positive business climate.

A statistics resource created by the U.S. Census Bureau, look up population and
economic statistics by local community name or zip code, check on the current U.S.

State and County Quick Facts
Quick and easy access to facts about people, business, and geography from the
U.S. Census Bureau.
Bureau of Labor Statistics
Many statistics dealing with labor and employment. Also contains such
information as the consumer price index, wages, import/export and occupational
information. A valuable and comprehensive resource.
Bureau of Economic Analysis
An agency of the Department of Commerce that provides up to date, relevant and
accurate economic data and statistics. Information includes economic data
covering international, national, regional and industry wide statistics. This
is a great site to find the latest information on economic indicators (GDP,
personal income and international trade statistics, to name a few).
Business Advisor
A one-stop electronic link to the information and services government provides
for the business community.
CDC Workplace Safety & Health
Provides national and world leadership to prevent work-related illnesses and
injuries.
Economic Indicators
Prepared and published monthly for the Joint Economic Committee of Congress by
the Council of Economic Advisers. Reports from 1995 to the last month
published.

Room
Easy access to current Federal economic indicators through a link at the White
House homepage.
Department of Commerce
The Federal branch of government responsible for regulation and assistance to
business, commerce and trade.
Securities and Exchange Commission
Responsible for regulating U.S.
securities markets and protect investor interests. The SEC works to promote
disclosure of important information, enforcing the securities laws and protect
investors who interact with the various organizations and individuals who make
up the securities markets.
Federal Reserve Board
The Federal Reserve's duties fall into four general areas: conducting the
nation's monetary policy; supervising and regulating banking institutions and
protecting the credit rights of consumers; maintaining the stability of the
financial system; and providing certain financial services to the U.S.
government, the public, financial institutions, and foreign official
institutions.

A link to the Federal Reserve Bank that has jurisdiction over the Western
United States including Oregon.
This is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that are responsible for supervision

NAICS Codes and Titles
Latest update (2002) and revisions for the North American Industry
Classification System. The NAICS has replaced the SIC system for industry
classification.
SIC-U.S. Standard Industrial
Classification System-Online
Searchable database of the 1987 version (the last version) of the SIC manual by
keyword or 4 digit SIC number. The North American Industry Classification
System (NAICS) has been developed to replace the SIC system.
