Opportunities exist to teach on campus, Roseburg, in north and south county locations.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Essential Functions:
Prepares and furnishes students with an approved class/workshop syllabus/outline
Prepares curriculum and handouts needed for class/workshop topic
Covers class/workshop contents as described syllabus/outline and provides sufficient exposure to class material so that students will satisfactorily master topic skills
Meets each assigned class/workshop with punctuality, organization, and enthusiasm to ensure and promote maximum student learning
Dresses in appropriate attire
Conducts class/workshop during the time and in the room assigned by Community Education staff member
Conducts self as a representative of UCC when participating in college-related functions
Follows all UCC policies, procedures and safety regulations
Completes all reports and paperwork requested including attendance sheets, payroll materials, curriculum materials, evaluation and forms with care to detail
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent, required
Knowledge and experience with subject matter being taught, required
Prior teaching experience, preferred
Ability to work independently and be self directed, required
Ability to work cooperatively with people of all ages and abilities, required
Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include evening and weekend hours, required
Must maintain a positive attitude under stressful situations, required
Ability to complete all paperwork with care to detail, required
Must have valid Oregon driver's license, provide own transportation
SALARY:$17.26/hr, Part-Time Instructor Salary Schedule.
