EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Essential Functions:
Ensures the safety of patrons using the UCC pool facilities, by maintaining constant surveillance of patrons in the facility
Acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency
Coordinates emergency procedures or provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
Applies all rules and regulations consistently.
Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Maintains a high standard of customer services, including positive relations and rapport with patrons.
Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings, in-service meetings and training.
Performs various general maintenance/custodial duties/functions as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports, as requested.
Handles or refers other problems and situations as they arise within the facility.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned, including those of a Water Aide.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 15 years old.
Must possess current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification and American Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification.
Previous lifeguarding experience is not necessary.
Must be willing to work a flexible part-time schedule, which may include morning, afternoon and/or evening open swim times.
SALARY:$7.95/hr or DOE.
