EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Essential Functions:
Give support and assistance to the Computer Support Tech Lead, Network Engineer, and other Computer Support Technicians in maintaining campus equipment.
Set up, configure, and install hardware and software-drivers on new and reconfigured computers.
Assist faculty, staff and students with computer system and peripheral related issues.
Assist with ordering necessary equipment and supplies for desktop computers, peripherals, cabling and etc.
Perform maintenance and repair of desktop computers, peripherals, and cabling infrastructure equipment providing comprehensive and complete microcomputer and LAN hardware support.
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of an Associate in Science in Digital System Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent is required.
Minimum of two years successful work experience with desktop computers. Work experience must include installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of computer hardware and/or peripherals.
Experience in an educational setting is preferred.
SALARY:$29,422 per year, Full-Time Classified Salary Schedule, Grade 28, Step 1
