For what it's worth dept.
On Thurs., a friend on staff mentioned visiting the local E.R. the previous night, noting it was full of people who
brought buckets (i.e. nausea was a problem). Thursday, "Oregonian" Metro Section noted a local jump in "norovirus" infections
"a fast-spreading viral infection marked by nausea, vomiting and diarrhea." The article said this norovirus is highly
contagious and miserable to experience, but that it usually passes within a day or two. The usual hygiene precautions–wash
hands often, wash fresh fruits and veggies–are encouraged to avoid infection.
