Supporting TOP projects
The TOP staff wants to thank everyone who recently contributed to the TOP Special Projects Fund. The Fund allows TOP to pay for activities that are not allowed under the Dept. of Ed. grant such as tickets for family members to educational/cultural events with TOP students and for family members to attend UCC’s annual Student Graduate/Transfer Recognition ceremony in May.

Donations to the Fund are tax deductible. If you would like to donate, please send check c/o Jean Galleher, TOP, Counseling Center.

The TOP staff thanks all of our UCC family for their support of our students.

Branding Oregon
Governor Ted Kulongoski has announced the formation of a Brand Oregon Advisory Board, which is a 16 member group comprised of business and community leaders from across the state. The board will advise the governor and new Brand Oregon office on ways to unify and expand marketing efforts focused on Oregon products and destinations.

In addition, the Brand Oregon office unveiled a website for organizations and businesses to share their own Oregon story: www.myoregonstory.com. The website contains a form to submit testimonials and examples of living and doing business in Oregon.

Please share your success stories at the "my oregon story" site so that Oregonians and the advisory committee know the work of community colleges with business.

Reminder
Spirit of Umpqua Hall of Fame nominations need to be in to Lee Salter no later than April 16.
