D4A State Reporting

Data for Analysis (D4A)

Oregon Post-Secondary Data for Analysis (D4A) is designed to be both a data collection and reporting system for Oregon Community Colleges. Data submitted to D4A is used for mandatory state and federal accountability reports associated with areas such as Career and Technical Education (Perkins) and Title II (U.S. Department of Labor). It is also used to determine the funding each school receives from the state each year.

Files submitted to the D4A system term by term

  • Student: Unduplicated list of every credit and non-credit student enrolled at UCC. Contents include age, race, gender, intended major, high school completion status, reading/writing placement level, and indicators for veteran's, disability, economic disadvantage, teen parent, single parent, grant recipient, career pathways participation, employment skills training participant, and dual-enrollment.
    • Submitted for the 4th week of Fall term and used to determine Perkins Act funding
    • Submitted at the end of every term
  • Course: List of all credit and non-credit courses and sections offered at UCC. Contents include course numbers, section numbers, credits and clock hours, course type and environment, course enrollments, times and days offered and indicators for courses offered out-of-district, distance education and green skills training.
    • Submitted at the end of every term.
    • Re-submitted at the end of every academic year following the annual FTE audit
  • Enrollment: List of all credit and non-credit enrollments at UCC. Contents include credits attempted and earned per student, clock hours per course, grades earned and an indicator if work experience option was used.
    • Submitted at the end of every term.
    • Re-submitted at the end of every academic year following the annual FTE audit

Yearly Submission

  • Student Yearly: Contents include cumulative GPA and credits earned, cumulative core credits and program credits, total credits transferred in and an indicator for Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) recipients.
    • Submitted at the end of every academic year following the annual FTE audit
  • Completions: Unduplicated list of every UCC student earning an award. Contents include program code, completion date and type of award for each student.
    • Submitted with the annual student file re-submission at the end of the academic year.
  • Technical Skills Assessment: Oregon’s Office of Community College and Workforce Development (CCWD) is requiring most Career Technical programs to provide information on students who have reached the point in their programs where they have had their overall technical skills assessed and the results of the assessment.Contents include program code, assessment test name and type, assessment date and results of assessment.
    • Submitted with the annual student file re-submission at the end of the academic year.
  • Accelerated Learning: Unduplicated headcount of high schools students participating in accelerated learning programs that earn them college credit at UCC. Contents include indicators for expanded options, dual credit with OSU-Cascades, advanced diploma or other accelerated learning opportunities and year of participation for each student.
    • Submitted with the annual student file re-submission at the end of the academic year.
