Before you can register for classes, all first-time degree, certificate or diploma seeking students are required to complete the UCC online student orientation with a score of 70%. (Don't worry; you'll get help along the way.)

Who is required to take Student Orientation?

All new students are required to take Student Orientation.  All students who are returning after not attending UCC for four consecutive terms are also required to take the Student Orientation.

Do I need to be registered for classes before I can sign up for Student Orientation?


I'm a transfer student. Do I need to complete the Student Orientation?


I took Dual Credit classes. Do I need to complete the Student Orientation?


What is covered in Student Orientation?

Student Orientation prepares students for the first term of college. By providing important information about policies, services, and activities, Student Orientation helps you avoid potential roadblocks in identifying and achieving your goals. Content includes key resources, strategies for success, and opportunities to meet other new students.

How can I complete my Student Orientation requirement?

Students can fulfill their Student Orientation requirement by completing the Online Orientation.  Please remember that you must pass the Knowledge Test with 70% to complete your requirement.

How long is Student Orientation?

Online Orientation is self-paced, approximately one hour; you may leave and return.  The program will remember you and where you stopped. 

How do I register for Student Orientation?

You will need to sign in using your UCC ID number.  Your UCC ID number was included in your acceptance letter.

Online Student Orientation

  • Enter your Student ID number that was given to you in your acceptance letter from UCC.
  • At the end of the Online Orientation, you must click the "Click here to finish" button.
  • Complete your Placement Test.
  • Refer to the Online Student Orientation often to guide you to UCC's many resources and services.
