    Mental health professionals are offering no-cost grief sharing: 9am-8pm through Sunday at the Ford Foundation, 1600 NW Stewart Pkwy; and the Community Health Alliance, 201 Medical Loop.

    Beginning Monday, Oct 5, grief sharing will be available on campus, 7:30am - 5pm in the cafeteria.

Inside Electrician

This is a four to five-year program. Apprentices complete 8000 hours of OJT and 576 hours of related classroom training.


This apprenticeship leads to the General Journeyman Electrician license. Inside electricians perform electrical installations, construction, maintenance, repair and service. They work on electrical construction projects ranging from single-family residences to state-of-the-art industrial plants. They install conduits and wire lighting, switches, converters, and complex computerized systems.

Working Conditions

The work done as an electrician may be strenuous. The working environment varies, depending on the type of job. The work can require considerable standing, bending, reaching and lifting and may be conducted in cramped spaces or at great heights.

Average Journeyman Wage

Statewide: $32.97/Hr.

Douglas County: $27.16/Hr.

Program Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma (2.0 GPA) or GED
• One year high school algebra or equivalent post high school
