Emergency Medical Services

Paramedic AAS

UCC Emergency Medical Services TrainingUCC's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program provides career training for entry-level positions in emergency medical settings. Ambulance companies, fire and police departments, and various other industries need well-trained, professional emergency medical personnel.

Successful completion of UCC's EMT, Advanced EMT, EMT-Intermediate, or Paramedic training programs prepares you to take respective state certification exams. The EMS department also offers continuing education opportunities for first responders and EMS professionals.

Careers

After successful completion of all requirements for EMT-Basic, EMT Intermediate, or Paramedic training, you are eligible to apply to take the respective state certification exams. The department also offers training for First Responders and EMS continuing education.

Because of the medical nature of the training, UCC's EMS program has specialized admission requirements. You must:

  • Pass a background check.
  • Meet immunization requirements.
  • Take prerequisite courses to start the program.
