WAFC Retail Management: Certificate

The Retail Management Certificate is an exciting program that prepares students for entry-level management positions in the retail industry. The program builds skills in many areas critical to the success of retail management. Courses of study include management, marketing, supervision, human resources, communications, business math, and more.

UCC's RMC program is designed to help you succeed. Take one class per term and earn the certificate within 2.5 years, or take the fast track and earn your certificate in less than a year.

This 8-course program is sponsored by the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC). The courses involved are listed below in recommended sequence.

The RMC program is designed to help you succeed. All courses are available online and accessible anytime from any location. The student forum enables you to communicate with and help other students.

Current Retail Employees

Seeking advancement opportunities? The RMC program was designed in partnership with the Western Association of Food Chains to help employees prepare for sales and management careers in the retail industry.

Increase your opportunities for recognition and promotion.

Contact your company HR representative to let them know you are interested in pursuing the program. Many retail stores offer tuition reimbursement programs for their employees. Or, if you prefer to pay for the classes on your own, you may skip this step.

HR Managers

UCC is here to help retail chains across the nation prepare employees for management positions. The Retail Management Certificate is supported by the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) and provides a solid base toward earning an AAS or higher degree.

Classes follow UCC's calendar terms. If your employees need a class that does not appear in the UCC Catalog or is not offered when your organization needs it, please
