Culinary Arts: One-year Certificate

Prix Fix 2013 DessertThe culinary arts certificate program provides basic chef training. It immerses you into three working areas of the kitchen: the a la carte kitchen, the production kitchen, and the pastry and bakeshop.

You will rotate term by term through each area of the kitchen. This will provide you with authentic working conditions in a restaurant setting. You will also participate in an internship during your second or third term.

In addition, the River Rush Bistro and Café serve as a living laboratory for all culinary students. A majority of the food provided through these venues is prepared by culinary students. Plus, UCC's catering operations give you further exposure to another aspect of the food services industry.
